Mabel Alvire began the way most meaningful things do — quietly, and out of necessity. Growing up between the Netherlands and southern Europe, our founder Mabel developed an early love for the way clothing told stories. Not loud ones. Subtle ones. The way a well-cut dress could make a woman walk differently. The way fabric against skin could shift a mood before the day had even started.
But somewhere between that love and the reality of most wardrobes, something was missing. Clothing was either beautiful but uncomfortable, affordable but forgettable, or trendy but gone by next season. Mabel wanted something in between — pieces that felt considered, that moved with a woman rather than against her, and that didn't ask her to be anything other than exactly who she already was.
In 2021, Mabel Alvire was born.
